Before you start the Pre-licensing process, you must conform to the following eligibility criteria.
You must be a lawful resident of Canada.
Your age should be over 18 years.
You should have completed a Canadian High School Education or its equivalent.
You must be proficient in English.

Like any other industry in Canada, it is mandatory to complete pre-licensing training. You can do this from a certified institution before appearing for the real estate licensing exam.
The duration of the training, educational, and licensing details, may differ across provinces or territories.
The pre-registration course includes insights into choosing real estate as a career. For instance, land structure and real estate trading, residential and commercial real estate transactions, real property law are part of this course. This course runs for 18 months, and online options are available.
The Licensing Exam
To succeed as a Real Estate Agent in Canada, you will need to complete a series of Salesperson Licensing courses. After completing this pre-registration process, you can apply for initial salesperson registration.
